We hope that you have found the newsletter and presentation helpful.

The children have settled well and are enjoying being back at school.  We have been very lucky with the weather and we have been able to have many lessons outside.

Our topic this half term is ‘Happy Homes’.  In this topic we will be learning about different habitats and the animals that live there.  The children have questions that they would like to find out the answers to and time will be given in class for them to carry out their research.

In art we have been exploring colour mixing and we made beautiful Savannah sunset pictures.  We are looking forward to taking part in a whole school art project.  Soon we will have our exciting DT Day when we will make our own Bug Hotels.

In maths we have been learning about numbers.  We have been making numbers using a range of resources, placing numbers on number lines and comparing numbers.

We have been reading the story The Rainbow Fish and taking part in lots of acting!  We will be changing the setting and main characters and re-writing the story.

We are having lots of fun in our music lessons with Mrs Williamson using body percussion and practising rhythm. Each class will have a half term to play the chime bars and this half term will be Mercury.
