Good Start, Great Start

Good Start, Great Start is a 6 week course for Early Years parents and children.  The course was put together by Middlesex University.  The course aims to:

-            Help your child settle into Nursery/Reception

-            Give you a chance to have one to one time with your child doing fun activities

-            Help your child develop independence, social skills, and speaking and listening skills

-            Give you time to meet other parents during ‘Me Time’ whilst the children go out to play

-            Provide support to parents, with time to share tips and get ideas around topics such as positive attention, communication and behaviour

Our Good Start Great Start trained facilitators are Kate Vivian and Rachael Waite.  The course has run during the Autumn term 2018, Spring term 2019 and most recently in Autumn term 2019. Watch this space for the date of the next course - we hope to run one again in Summer term 2020.  If you have any questions, please email Kate Duffy

Here is a comment from one of the parents who joined us:

Good Start, Great Start has been certainly a great time for both my daughter and I. Thank you so much for all your effort put into this course. We thoroughly enjoyed all the way and each week I took new skill home with me. I wish it could continue for all other mums.

We had great fun on the Good Start Great Start course in November - December 2019.  Here are a few photos:
