Arrangements for the Autumn Term

Arrangements for the Autumn Term

Dear Parents/Carers,

I would like to thank you all for the support and patience that you have shown us throughout the pandemic - it is hugely appreciated. We have been overwhelmed with the warmth and kindness of our Burlington community. Our work as teachers would definitely have been much harder without your support and encouragement.

As you will be aware, the government have now lifted many Covid-19 restrictions. In readiness for the reopening of the school in September, we have carefully considered our plan going forward, to continue to keep the school safe in line with the current guidance from Public Health England and the DfE. In order to allow for any further changes, we will wait to release the details of our risk assessment summary until after the Government’s planned announcement on 16th August. The office will send out an email after this announcement which will give details of the new arrangements for access to the site and the measures we will be taking to keep our children, families and staff safe. We are sending you the drop off and pick up times in advance to help you plan for the start of term, which we hope will ease the pressure for parents, whilst ensuring we minimise congestion on site. Please look out for the risk assessment summary after the announcement.

Drop off and Pick up Timetable from 1 September

Finally, I have said this so many times before, but it is something that we value and celebrate - we are incredibly lucky at Burlington to have such a warm and supportive parent community. Thank you! We would not have achieved this without you! We hope you have a fantastic summer, stay safe and well and we look forward to welcoming you back in September.

Warmest wishes,

Mrs S Yay-Walker, Headteacher
