Dear Burlington community,
As the academic year draws to a close, the governors of Burlington wanted to share with you how much we value and appreciate all the staff at the school. We have written to them to thank them for their exceptional commitment and dedication during this challenging Covid recovery period. It has not been an easy year - from changing government guidelines and class outbreaks, to staff shortages and learning gaps – and yet they have persevered with positivity and professionalism.
Teaching staff have shown immense flexibility: covering lessons through illness and absence, fitting in extra learning before, during and after school, and continually supporting children and their families in the classroom and at home. We are so grateful to them for the emotional support they have given children from extra hugs, reassurance, kindness and patience to the additional time taken to help them build their confidence and resilience.
We also wanted to take this opportunity to thank you, the Burlington community, for the support you have given your children and the school during the ongoing challenges of Covid this year. It has been wonderful to see how involved parents have been in school during MANGO and FUDGE mornings, Sports Day and class assemblies, and also at home with Good Deeds, Science Selfies and Monthly Maths Challenges. We are proud to have such an engaged, caring community at the school and thank you for your individual contribution to this.
We wish you all a wonderful summer holiday and hope that you have a restful break.
With best wishes,
The Governing Body, Burlington Infant & Nursery School
