It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to some wonderful staff this summer...
Our lovely Mrs Herring who has worked at Burlington for 16 years will be retiring this summer. We are so sad to see her go, she has been such a valuable and well loved member of the office team over the years and works so incredibly hard. Mrs Herring will be starting a new adventure and spending some well-deserved relaxation time as well as precious time with all her grandchildren. We wish her every happiness and we will miss her hugely, especially her caring nature and kind smile. Thank you Mrs Herring for everything you have done for our school!
We are so sad to say goodbye to lovely Mrs Waite who has been with us for 7 years. Mrs Waite has worked in our nursery and has supported so many children throughout the start of their Burlington journey. She has been so well loved by all the children in her care and every year builds up really close bonds with the children and their families. Mrs Waite will be leaving us to start a new adventure at another nursery where she will be nursery teacher and deputy manager. We wish her so much luck and her new nursery are so incredibly lucky to have her. Thank you Mrs Waite for being so kind and caring and working so hard to make sure the children have the best time in nursery. You will be missed by us all.
Mr Wood who has taught Rubies class this year has been a wonderful addition to our Burlington community and we are so sad that his journey with us is coming to an end. In just a short space of time he has become a well loved member of our team amongst both staff and children and we are really going to miss him. Mr Woods will be relocating in the summer to the north of England to start a new adventure at another school. We wish him lots of luck and we know his new school will be so lucky to have him.
Mrs Robertson, our lovely lunchtime supervisor and TA will be leaving us this summer as she has relocated out of London with her family. Mrs Robertson has been such a kind and caring member of our staff team, she helps our children at lunchtime as well as providing invaluable support to some of our children in nursery. Thank you so much for all your hard work and we wish you so much happiness in your new home and for your next venture. We will really miss you!

Lastly and most importantly we say goodbye and good luck to our wonderful Year 2 children! Words cannot express just how proud we are of all the children - it has been a really tricky year with so many changes but they have all dealt with this amazingly, showing such resilience and maturity as well as a sense of humour - they have certainly brightened up our days! We wish the children so much luck as they continue their journey through Burlington in Year 3. The junior school are so lucky to be welcoming a truly amazing group of children!
