As you may have seen in the news, Europe, including the UK, is amid the worst Avian Influenza outbreak that we’ve seen. This has continued through the summer and rapidly escalated as we approach winter. This is putting pressure on the poultry industry, and we are seeing particular issues with eggs. This is being exacerbated by falling flock numbers across both caged and free-range eggs. As demand for eggs continues to grow, this is putting additional strain on the UK supply chain and impacting the volume and availability of eggs.
