It is with great pride that we are able to attach a copy of the final report from Ofsted, which has once again graded the school as Outstanding in all areas. We have also attached a summary of highlights of the feedback we received from the inspectors during the 2 day inspection.

Highlights from our OFSTED Inspection

We also want to take the opportunity to thank all the parents and carers that took the time to engage with the inspectors. The amount of parents and carers that wanted to speak with Ofsted was quite incredible and the inspectors were very impressed with how engaged the school is with the local community, so thank you all.  

Having been graded as outstanding in 2008, all staff and governors have been on high alert for many years waiting for a call from Ofsted. The Ofsted scoring system has changed considerably over the 15 years since we were last inspected, so to try to secure the top mark of Outstanding, is very challenging indeed. However, under the excellent leadership of Mrs Yay-Walker, the Senior Leadership Team, all Teaching and Support Staff, the Governing Body were confident that the school was in the best position possible for this inspection. 

The staff had been working tirelessly and continue to do so and during our feedback discussions with Ofsted, they were very quick to heap praise on how accommodating the staff were and what a warm and welcoming place Burlington Infant and Nursery School is, which of course was very encouraging to hear. 

One of the key factors that stood out for us as Governors was that the inspectors had no areas where there were suggestions for development/ improvement, which is very unusual following an inspection. However, we already know that the school will not be resting on its laurels and is already looking at areas of development for this coming year. This further endorses what an excellent school Burlington Infants and Nursery is.
