Some of our Year 2 children have been very busy this term in their art lessons and now the masterpieces are complete! The children adored making their own sculptures in memory of our class butterflies.

1. Continuous line drawing of a butterfly
2. Observational drawings of butterflies using shading and sketching techniques
3. Artist study - Celia Smith. ‘Drawing with wire’ to create our armatures
4. Taping the armature 
5. Building our sculptures with Clay
6. Colour mixing and painting with acrylic paint
7. ‘Releasing’ the butterflies into the wild!
