On Thursday, 6 of our year 2 children were invited to attend a creative writing session at Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School.

The children took part in a series of writing challenges with different themes. One of the topics was to write about a toy adventure, the children had to write a diary entry about their adventure using adjectives to make interesting sentences and time conjunctions such as 'before', 'after', 'until' and 'since'. They also wrote about a journey to space and read a book called Handa's Surprise. After reading the book, the children had to write their own version of the story. All the children who took part really enjoyed the experience and they should feel very proud of the work they produced.
