All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for a free school lunch under the Government’s Universal Free School Meals initiative.
Your child does not have to have the school meal; you can provide a home-made packed lunch if you would prefer.
Your child must have either free school meals every day, or a packed lunch every day for the whole half term. It will not be possible to have school lunches some days, and packed lunches on other days.
Hot Meals
Lunches are cooked on site by Nourish, who also provide lunches for the Junior school. Nourish took over as our new caterers in February 2023.

When you order meals, you do not select your child's meal choice for them. They choose their meal from the selection available at the servery. If you think your child may find this difficult at first, please look at the menu with them each day before school, and help them decide what they should choose.
Please tell us about anything your child should not eat, then we can make sure that they are helped to choose a meal that is right for them.
The menus are planned on a four week rotation.
Packed Lunch
If your child is bringing a packed lunch from home, please ensure that they have a compact, named, rectangular lunchbox so that we can stack them.
Please make sure your child’s lunch is well balanced and nutritious e.g. sandwiches, cheese, yoghurt and fruit. Fizzy drinks, crisps and sweets are not allowed. We are a nut-free school and request that children do not bring any foods containing nuts in their packed lunches.
Our Lunchtime Assistants help the children to unpack their lunch, encourage good eating habits and look after the children during the lunch break.
Absences
If your child is absent, their school meal will automatically be cancelled.
If your child arrives after morning registration it is essential that you let the school office know by 9.30am to ensure that a meal is available for them.
If you know in advance that your child will be late on a particular day (for example because of a medical appointment), please let the office know as soon as you can and no later than 9.30am on the day itself.
